Arizona Volunteers Abroad (AVA) is a student-led, service-oriented organization at the University of Arizona created for students looking to put their skills, passions and interests to use by volunteering on impactful projects around the world. Each school year, AVA members vote on a destination at which they will spend several weeks abroad over the summer. Each member will then select from a wide range of volunteer projects to work on, such as teaching, childcare, healthcare, and wildlife conservation. Throughout the school year, AVA will hold various fundraising events and reach out to sponsors to help pay for an incredible end-of-the-year volunteer trip to our chosen destination where everyone will work hands-on with their projects through charities, NGOs and other organizations in the area.
