Samahang Pilipino is broken up into four entities; Board, Samahang Pilipino Education and Retention (SPEAR), Samahang Pilipino Advancing Community Empowerment (SPACE), and Samahang Pilipino Cultural Night (SPCN). SPEAR is our holistic retention project, which aims for 100% retention of Pilipinx students at UCLA through counseling, mentorship, and internship. SPACE helps Pilipinx high school and community college students reach higher education through peer advising and peer tutoring on three different campuses. SPCN is our annual cultural night, which is a celebration of Pilipinx/Pilipinx-American culture and stories. Samahang Pilipino is not just a cultural Mother Organization at UCLA, it is a family away from home and a bridge to our cultural roots.
