The Johns Hopkins Outdoors Club (JHOC) is a student-run organization, founded on a passion and respect for the environment, which provides safe and fun excursions in the outdoors. We aim to engage members of the Johns Hopkins community in order to foster an appreciation for the natural world, develop technical and leadership skills, promote personal growth, and maintain the JHOC spirit based on tradition and history.
JHOC runs trips during the academic year which include hiking, backpacking, climbing, canoeing, caving, mountain biking, orienteering and other outdoor activities. All Hopkins affiliates are invited to participate in our escapades. Equipment and transportation are provided, and every JHOC excursion is free!
