Each year, the Society of Automotive Engineers challenges student teams to design, manufacture and race a formula-style car. In the spring, our team competes against 119 other universities in a variety of events judging the car’s performance, design, and affordability.
At the start of each school year, over 150 new members sign up to join NovaRacing. Yet by race-day, our team consists of 25. We welcome each potential new member, but being a member of NovaRacing means more than showing up to meetings and tightening some bolts. It is more than just a club; it's a lifestyle. While the car attracts all, the lifestyle attracts some of the smartest and most passionate students Villanova has to offer. We dedicate every second of our free time to our passion: designing and building racecars. We make sacrifices because our car is our number one priority. "People wonder why we're obsessed, and we wonder why they're not (Matt Brown)."
